Local Natural Botanicals and the Arizona Sun

Students will learn the modern day artistically creative components of the early Alternative Photography techniques invented in the mid 1800s.
Everyone in attendance will make traditional "Dry" Cynanotype prints and also learn the more ethereal "wet" techniques often preferred by artists due to the unique prints achieved. Students will leave with multiple prints.
What to bring: It is not necessary as items will be supplied but students who wish to, may bring simple local flowers and other natural Botanical specimens. Pleas see class description for more information as to what items work best.
Supplies Provided by Host: All supplies are included in this workshop.

About Betsy
Betsy is a "Paper Artist" raised in New England, specifically, Maine. Prior to owning "Maine Shades" a custom lampshade company that highlighted restoring vintage lamps and creating hand made lampshade, Betsy was a professional Sign Painter, Stained Glass Designer and Alternative Surfaces Furniture Painter, all of which enhanced her love of decoration.
After retiring to Arizona she has enjoyed sharing her expertise with many students privately and at Trilog in a variety of Paper Art Forms. After teaching workshops for over 25 years, she is enthusiastically commited to continuing here in Rio Verde.
